Çok iyi bulmuşsun hesheit kardeşim.. Ama malesef hoşuma gitmedi benim, konsept gerçekten çok hoşuma gidiyor fakat umarım seri üretim bu fotoğrafdaki gibi olmaz.. Bir defa o farlar nedir öyle, resmen şu makyajlana C30'daki gibi birşey.. Koskoca S60 bu insan biraz heybetli birşeyler yapar bence.. Belkide fotoğrafdandır ama nedense S60'dan ziyade olsa olsa S40 olur bu bence.. S60 heybeti yok malesef :( Neyse bakalım hepberaber göreceğiz ne çıkıcak ortaya seri üretimde..

Yeni S60 Kopenhag caddelerinde Volvo'nun yeni güvenlik sistemi yaya dedektörleri test edilirken yakalandı.
Recently, sharp-eyed citizens in Copenhagen have had the opportunity to get a sneak preview of the upcoming, sporty Volvo S60 - which won't be introduced to the world until next year.
A disguised prototype of the new sedan model has been rolling through the streets of the Danish capital in order to test a groundbreaking new safety technology that can detect a pedestrian in front of the car and brake automatically if the driver doesn't react in time, to avoid an accident.
The new technology - Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Detection - will be introduced together with the all-new Volvo S60 in 2010. Volvo Cars' safety experts have been working with Pedestrian Detection technology for ten years and test cars have been rolling all over the world - most recently in the busy streets of Copenhagen.
"Factors like traffic behaviour, road conditions and climate must be taken into account in the design of the final system. All told we have collected more than 500,000 kilometres of real-life data. We can also use the information from these traffic tests to conduct advanced computer simulations," says Thomas Broberg, Senior Safety Advisor at Volvo Cars.
The next step - protecting the unprotected
The new safety functions in Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Detection represent the next stage in Volvo Cars' continuous development of technology to detect risky situations and help the driver mitigate or avoid accidents by providing support in the decision-making process.
"The previous stages were developed to help the driver avoid collisions with other vehicles.
Now we are taking a giant step forward with a function that also boosts safety for unprotected road-users. What is more, we are advancing from fifty percent to full automatic braking power. To the best of our knowledge, none of our competitors have made such progress in this area," explains Thomas Broberg. He adds:
"This technology helps us take an important step towards our long-term vision of designing cars that do not crash. Our aim for 2020 is that no-one should be killed or seriously injured in a Volvo."
First a warning, then automatic braking
Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Safety consists of a new dual-mode radar unit integrated into the car's grille, a camera behind the inside rear-view mirror and a central control unit. The radar and camera continuously monitor the road in front of the car. The radar's task is to detect objects and measure the distance to them. The camera determines what type of objects they are.
In an emergency situation, the driver is first alerted by an audible warning together with a flashing light in the windscreen's head-up display. In order to prompt an immediate, intuitive reaction, the visual warning is designed to look like a brake light coming on. If the driver does not respond to the warning and the system assesses that a collision is imminent, the car's brakes are applied with full braking power.
"Active brake deployment requires that the object is confirmed by both the radar and the camera. Thanks to state-of-the-art sensor technology, it is now possible to engage full braking power," explains Thomas Broberg.
Accidents with pedestrians common in urban traffic
In the EU countries' capital cities, 1,560 people died in road accidents in 2007. Of these, 43 percent were pedestrians. The speed of the car is of considerable significance to the outcome of an accident and the risk of a pedestrian being killed in an accident at 50 kilometres per hour is 85 percent higher compared to if the speed is 25 kilometres per hour.
"Our aim is that this new technology should help the driver avoid collisions with pedestrians at speeds below 25 km/h. If the car is travelling faster, the aim is to reduce the impact speed as much as possible. In most cases, we can reduce the collision force by about 75 percent. Considering the large number of pedestrian fatalities that occur, if we manage to lower the fatality risk by 20 percent this new function will make a big difference. In specific situations the fatality reduction can be up to 85 percent," says Thomas Broberg.

Turkish artist Esref Armagan is renowned throughout the world for his unique feel for perspective and shape. He was the very first non-employee to be invited to Volvo Cars in Sweden to see and paint the still-secret new Volvo S60. Although the car will not be launched until 2010, Volvo is already revealing his interpretation on Facebook.
But there is an exciting twist to the story: Esref Armagan is blind.
How can one generate interest in a product that has not yet been launched? That was the challenge given to Lukas Dohle, director of Live Communication and Social Media, and his team at Volvo Cars in Göteborg, Sweden.
The team came up with the idea of inviting renowned Turkish artist Esref Armagan to Sweden and to let him experience the new Volvo S60 and paint a picture of it. The film documenting the S60 blind preview is available on Volvo Car's own website on Facebook, the address iswww.facebook.com/volvo. It is also available on YouTube.
"Since the car itself is not being launched until the Geneva Motor Show next year, this is a unique way for us to show an extraordinary artist's rendition of the forthcoming model," says Lukas Dohle.
Esref Armagan uses his hands and the rest of his senses to identify the shape of the object he is painting. He has participated in a number of scientific research projects. For instance, TV channel Discovery produced a fascinating documentary in which Professor John Kennedy of Toronto University demonstrates Esref's ability to capture the right perspective. It defies everything that science previously believed about blind people and their perceptive abilities. Esref Armagan has painted everything from historic buildings, seascapes, flowers and forests to a portrait of former US President Bill Clinton.
This, however, is the very first time he is putting a car on canvas!
"It was an honour for me to be asked to do this and I take it as a confirmation of my ability as an artist," says Esref Armagan.
At the Volvo Cars design studio in Göteborg, Sweden, Esref Armagan met design director Peter Horbury. It was a fruitful meeting in which Peter Horbury showed the artist the jealously guarded secret. "I'm proud of the new Volvo S60. It has a much more dynamic and sculpted form than any previous Volvo - it's a very emotive form. That's why this feels like such an exciting project - introducing our forthcoming model to someone as unusual as a blind artist," says Peter Horbury.
On October 19, the first trailer was made available to 400 blogs globally, offering tantalizing glimpses of the car. It is possible to see and discuss the video on Volvo Car's own website on Facebook. Car enthusiasts could also ask Esref Armagan to draw specific details of the car.
Tolday on October 26, the entire film is available on Facebook. That is the first time the blind artist's interpretation of the new Volvo S60 has been made public. "It's an amazing experience to work together with Esref Armagan, because he truly embraces life and lives it to the full despite his handicap. It's an approach that exactly matches how we at Volvo embrace life," says Lukas Dohle.

Daha fazla Volvo S60
İlk fotoğrafları yayınlanan 2011 Vovo S60'ın tüm detaylarını görebileceğimiz bir video yayınlandı. 2010 Mart ayında düzenlenecek olan Cenevre Otomobil Fuarı'nda tanıtılacak olan Volvo S60 ilk olarak 2009 Detroit'te konsept olarak tanıtıldı. Volvo S60, Audi A4, BMW 3 Serisi ve Mercedes-Benz C Serisi'ni rakip alıyor.
Geçtiğimiz günlerde Ford ve Çinli otomobil üreticisi Geely arasında yapılan anlaşma ile 1.8 milyar Amerikan Dolarına satılan Volvo S60 hakkında çok kısıtlı açıklama yaptı. Selefine göre daha sürücü odaklı bir tasarıma sahip olan yeni S60'ın motor gamı hakkında net bir açıklama yapılmamasına rağmen Ford'un yeni 1.6 litrelik dört silindirli, turbo beslemeli motorunun kullanılmasına kesin gözü ile bakılıyor. Direkt enjeksiyonlu olan motorun gücünün ise 150 ile 180 beygir arasında olacağı söyleniyor.

Ben beğendim. Dış tasarımına az çok göz aşinalığı olmuştu; diğer konsept olsun, resmi, gayri resmi fotoğraflar olsun baya bir fikir vermişti.
İç tasarımını çok merak ediyordum. Sürücüye dönük kokpit yapısının devam ettirilmesi beni en çok sevindiren şey oldu. Çünkü kardeşi s40, abisi s80'de düz inen bir kokpit vardı. s60'ta da düze geçiş olabilir diye korkuyordum açıkçası.
Yalnız yol bilgisayarı-navigasyon sisteminin konumlandırıldığı yer aşağı inen sütunla biraz uyumsuz gibi geldi bana ama canlı olarak görmeden fazla yorum yapmak pek doğru olmayacak galiba... -
Önden görünümünü pek beğenmedim. Çıplak göz ile gerçeğini görürsek belki fikrim değişir.
Arkadan görünümünü beğendim. Yandan görünüm fena değil.
Gelelim iç mekana. Yeni kokpit dizaynını beğendim. Doğrusu Volvo'dan bu kadar farklı bir kokpit beklemiyordum. Bu kokpit eski Amerikan arabalarını hatırlattı bana. Spor konsepte uygun.
Bu araca koydukları direksiyonu ise hiç beğenmedim. Makyajlı S80'e konulan direksiyon bu. Bu direksiyon eğer asilse spor S60'a uymaz, yok eğer spor bir direksiyon ise o zaman da S80'e uymaz. Hangisi? Bence birincisi. Bu direksiyon S80'nin E segment asaleti ile uyum sağlıyor ama bu araca olmamış. Volvo burada işin kolayına kaçıp eldeki direksiyonu buna da takmış. Oysa üç kollu spor bir şey eklemeliydi.
Otomatik vites topuzu da bence uymamış. Bu da S80'deki ağırlığı taşıyor. S60 I'de ek olarak seçilebilen "space ball" tarzı spor bir vites kolu daha şık olurdu.
Son beğenmediğim nokta ise içi bej araca siyah kokpit konulması. Bence hiç uymamış. Bej deri ile uyum sağlayan kokpit rengi kahverengi tonları, bal rengi, sütlü kahve, koyu kahve, hepsi olur ama siyah uymuyor. Belki kokpit rengi seçme imkanı sunulacaktır ama tanıtım fotosunda neden yok!
Bunlar dışında aracı incelemek lazım. Yol tutuşun, konforun ve güvenliğin eskisinden daha iyi olacağına şüphem yok. Ama Volvo denince beni malzeme kalitesi de ilgilendiriyor. Bu açılardan S40 II, S80 II, V70 III, XC70 III, tümü bir öncekilerden malzeme kalitesi ve işçilik olarak geri. S60 I'de de kalite ve işçilik üst seviyeydi. Bu devirde eskiyi aramak ne kadar doğru bilemem ama unutmayalımki bu aracın doğrudan rakibi malzeme kalitesini aynı sınıftaki araçlarında düşüren BMW ve Mercedes değil artıran Audi (A4).

galiba ortadaki o ekran standart olacak, cunku opsiyon olmasi durumunda radyo klima falan icin ekran koyacak bos yer yok. Hele o ekranin cukur degilde duz olsa daha guzel olurdu. Konseptle karsilastirinca ic mekan olmamis gibi duruyor. ama konsepti unutup diger rakipleriyle karsilastirinca fena degil, sade olmus. volvo hep sadeydi zaten... Siyah koltuk ve gri/metal rengi neyse artik o renk dashboard kombinasyonuyla daha da guzel olacaktir.
Yanliz direksiyon s80'den farkli, s80inki alt kismi x seklinde. yeni 60'inki biraz daha spor ve simitinde elle kavrama yerleri var. -
Yeni S60'ın en çok sevdiğim yanı ise yenilenen ekran formatı oldu. Amiral model S80'deki format günceli 20 yıl geriden takip ediyor gibiydi.
