Elini omzuma koydu, acıyan gözlerle bana bakıyordu. Çaresiz görünüşüme mi yoksa tükettiğim kelimelere mi bilmiyorum. Zavallı bir haldeydim, ağzından çıkacak her bir harfe muhtaçtım. Hayır dedi. Kısa ve net bir hayır. Bir şeyler daha söylemek istiyordu ama sanki tüm kelimeler onu terk etmişti. Bana yaşama gücü vermek ister gibi omzumdaki elini sıktı. Yalan söylediğini fark etmiştim, ama o bir kez daha aynı kelimeyi tekrarladı. Hayır. Gülümsemeye çalıştım, olmadı. Gülücük denen o lanet şeyi unutmuştum.
