Arkadaşlar ingilizce ödevi bu. Bizi etkileyen kötü anıları 15-20 cümle olarak simple past tense olarak anlatmamızı istiyor. Benim aklımda 99 istanbul depremi var. Bunla alakalı ingilizce anı falan var mı? Yada başka bir anıda olabilir. Yarın son.
Hello Everyone ;
My worst memory is the earthquake in Izmit in 1999. I remember it, as if it happened yesterday. It was 3:02am, the magnitude was 7.4 and it lasted for 37 seconds when it struck North Western Turkey killing over 16,000 people. The time was essential in my opinion. There could have been less death if it struck during the day time. Thousands of people were buried alive under the rubble. Schools, hospitals, hotels, and factories all collasped. Some people were fortunate enough to survive after being buried under tons of concrete for many days. That is, what I call, “a miracle”. Shortly after the earthquake I remember the International Rescuers arriving in Turkey from Germany, Israel, France etc… They helped local rescuers dig out the survivers, and assisted the wounded people. It was great team work, and it brought so many countries together. So many things have changed since then. They have been rebuilding everything. We must accept the fact that Turkey is located on major earthquake fault lines and this makes us vulnerable.
Thank You
