  • Hello,

I've been thinking of getting a surround sound speaker system to use with both my tv and my computer when doing music/audio work. I have a Steinberg UR44 interface, and I would like to have the output go to the speakers. However, there are some things I don't quite understand:for example, on the bose website for the acoustmass 6 (5.1 system), it says you need a receiver and dont use a tv unless it has surround sound decoding and stuff. What is the difference between a "receiver" and an audio interface like the one I have?
Why do I need the receiver? Is it possible for me to get the output of the UR44 to go through a speaker system like this or no?

    Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
