I hope you will take good backfeeds about turknet but i dont think so. Is this your first internet connection or have another internet connection ? If you have one, process will be take about 4-5 days. But if this is your first connection, oh dude, i can't think about you. :(

Turksat Kablo installs coaxial (likewise sat connection) cable in your apartment. They have some ping issues based on their DOCSIS3.0 connection protocol and will not bother you unless you play online gaming or use latency focused apps.(+10 ms extra latency)

What is the priority for the connection? Speed? Price? Stability? Customer care? Latency(ping)? Can you order it from the most to the least? So we can help you with more confidence.

Hello, the modem is out of stock. In the future, we will continue our modem sales from where we left off. However, we do not have modem sales to our existing customers.

The activation process takes 3 to 6 business days.

I don't do any serious online gaming, maybe very rarely on my nintendo switch, so its not a super priority. The main usage for my internet is 1) general work related things like VOIP calls, skype, zoom video, etc. 2) Netflix streaming 3) other general non intensive online stuff like browsing, youtube etc.

Here are the preference for me:

1- Speed: I'll be okay with 35 MBPS - 50 MBPS as i can stream netflix 1080p with this. If they give me 100 i'll be happy but i wouldnt pay too much more for this. Turksat has these smart unlimited plans where they reduce your speed between 7 pm and midnight, and i'm not sure i really like the idea of that limit. If they limit it to something like 35 MBPS i'll be happy with that

2- Stability + customer care: I don't think theres a single country in the world i've lived in where the support provided by internet providers is good. so the more stable the connection, the less likely i'll have to deal with customer service. but i don't have any mission critical things that i need super stability for other than making usre my work calls and video conferences happen fine

3- Price: Im willing to pay up to 100-110 Lira. I actually don't spend that much time in Turkey as i travel a lot for work, so i dont want to be spending too much money on this

4- Data cap: prefer an unlimited connection quota as i don't want the headache of managing how much data i use. i just checked my google wifi and in the past 30 days iv'e download 290 GB and uploaded 123 gb. Typically i imagine i'd even use more data than this.

5- latency: I've never thought of latency really. i just checked my current connection and its 15 ms - im with Turkcell superonline at my current apartment i believe its a fiber connection. it was supposed to be 24 or 35 mbps i dont remember but the speedtest shows 14.5 mbps

haha thats the sense im getting - that it takes a long time waiting for installation. Yesterday i sent in my signed paperwork. Do you think I can still tell them i don't want the connection when they call me? Or is it too late and they'll charge my card for the installation charges?
  • zanky Z kullanıcısına yanıt
    Sorry, i don't know.
  • Kurulumu istemesse para alıyor musunuz? Bak cevap veremedim rezil olduk
  • Please stay away from Turknet for your mental health, i wait 40 days for installation process and they dont even care about it. Today i cancelled it and im feeling so stupid that i wasted my time on them! Go for Superonline(best option nowadays) at least they have customer services that you can TALK. Believe me if you buy Turknet services you will lose your mind with their unprofessional attitudes. Also with contract you will have free modem that is ok for your connection and you wont pay any fee for installation operation.

There are a lot of people using Türksat internet, of course, there are a lot of other people using Türknet.
the important thing here is whether there are performance problems in your building. You could consult your neighbors for this, it is the way to learn the best and most guaranteed quality of service.

Thank you! the feedback seems overwhelmingly to stay away from turknet. Especially since i dont speak turkish i won't even know how to deal with anyone if i have any connection issues. The big reason i went with them was their simple offering - one price, any speed, compared to the complex pricing system of other providers.

So if you cancel the service they dont charge you any fee? I put my credit card info when i signed up online, and yesterday sent my signed documentation. If they call me for installation and i refuse will they not charge me for installation and the first month?
  • First of all don't give it a thought, i will try to stay people away from this firm as possible as i can because they dont deserve anything!

Second of all they cant charge anything because you diddn't use any services and there is an option that you can cancel your service anytime. If they call you(%10 chance) you can say you dont start to use their services and you renounced. Or you can open a new support record on their website at ''online işlemler'' and they have to cancel it immediately.

Hope you will find a better firm and use your internet without problem, have a nice day !

Since you have no commitment for TürkNet just give a try because xDSL infrastructure in Türkiye has confusing user feedbacks. One may experience fully satisfied while another experiences nothing works at all. That's a chronogical infrastructure issue and either TürkNet or TTnet could help you with that problem thus this problem occurs for physical infrastructural issues.

If I were in your dilemma, I would prefer Türksat Kablo for a stable and long time contract.

So i think what i'll do is wait for them to call me, since theres no place to call them. If they do it in 4-5 days then great, i'll try it for a few months, but if they don't call me soon then i'll just get turksat and when tnet calls i'll tell them i don't need it.

Thank so much everyone for the help, i really appreciate it.

Please do not consider VDSL (TürkNet VAE infrastructure in this case) connection as a crappy one.Somehow you may get good connection speeds and latencies based on your TT infrastructure.

Again I say, just give a try for TürkNet and if you're not satisfied with their services, Türksat Kablo would be my first choice.

So turknet came today to install my line already. I ordered on the 3rd and within 5 days i already have it. they tested it andthe line seemed fine, but i wasn't there so i didn't manage to do a speedtest or see the line stats. Next week when i go to my apartment i will check the line stats to see how it works and if i can upgrade to the 50 mbps line.
  • GOOD listen to me.If you do not want to weave your sheets, stress your head against the wall, stay away from Turknet.I have money, if you say I don't want to have a problem, switch to TTNET.but I have no money. If you say the stew of cheap meat will be smooth. Switch to NETSPEED. You are more likely to experience problems on the internet than netspeed. I use google translater.

Edit: If my english is bad. TTNET ( expensive) > Netspeed >........>TURKNET
