Good morning guys, I have a question for all of you.

Should I keep a diary for improve writing skills in English?

    How should I start?

If you ask me, i suggest that you select any topic and write whatever you want. it's getting boring after a while though. I think one of the best way is signing up any english forum and keeping writing in english.

moreover there is mistake in your writing, it must be as follows

"Should I keep a diary for improving writing skills in English?"

In fact you had better use "in order to" or just "to" instead of "for"

Improving the writing is much more harder than the speaking. How can one improve his speaking skills? By speaking. You can find loads of web-sites and resources for this, of course you can also find actual people to speak.

But for writing, someone needs to check your essay. And by someone I mean a native-English speaker or someone who's really good at writing English. That's not easy to find, and even you do find, you have to pay for it unlike speaking.

We can use this topic to improve our writing skills. We shouldn't just speak about daily matters, we need to choose one specific topic and write our opinions about it. We can also limit the number of words we need to write, like at least 150 words.

I wrote this couple of times before but after some time nobody gives a rat's ass!

Is that last one a proverb, or just another version of the four-letter word

By the way, I don't have write something but I will read your writings and correct you with pleasure. I should say that, writing in a different language other than yours, is really really hard and not everybody can do that. Because literary language and daily language is pretty different than each other. You know Elif Şafak, Turkish author, she does not really write in Turkish. She ownself writes in English and her books are tranlated to Turkish by translators. And she admits that she speaks good Turkish without problem, but she isn't good at literary language of Turkish. So think twice when you want to write English. Of course we can write essays but professionally, we've to work much harder.

  • i am taking english104 which means professinal speaking skills and i feel extremely nervous while speaking.
when this term ends i'll have a party

how can i beat this fear about speaking in front of the class ?
i passed eng103 (professional writing skills) with ba, english is not a problem for me and even it is fun. i watch tv series with english subtitles but when the matter comes to speaking, i freeze :(

we'll have presentations, meetings, phone calls vsvs all the term will be about speaking and if i cant overcome my shyness all the lessons, every second will be nightmare for me :(
no exams no homeworks, just speaking all the time.

'Soğuk algınlığı' and 'grip' are quite close to each other, that's why I said that. Am I wrong?
