  • WATCHING A MATCH ON TV vs IN A STADIUM

    Football or soccer is one of the most renowned sport in worldwide. Also there are a lot of big football clubs and millions of supporters around the world; moreover, a great deal of money is spend for these clubs to transfer the best players and become the best. Under these circumstences, following the matches and clubs is so important and enjoyable for fans. Thus, there are two options on how to support the teams. One of them is watching the matches on TV and the other one is seeing the matches in stadium. Even though there are some similarities between watching matches on TV and in stadium, there are also some differences.

    To begin with, it is clear that there are some similarities between watching the match on TV and in stadium. First of all, two types of supporting, more or less, have the same atmosphere on us. Both of them have us feel excited and cheerful. For instance, with the developing television technologies such as ultra HD view and hi-fi sound systems, televisions create an artificial football atmosphere. Similarly in stadium, with the fans cheerings and clubs anthems and also being close to players, we have the same atmosphere, too. Another similarity is socializing. Watching matches with friends increases the effects of match ambience affluently. For example, when we call our friends to watch the matchat home, we both enjoy and in the half time or the pauses, we can talk, critise the highlights and we socialise. Likewise in stadium, when our team score or give away a goal, we have the same feelings with the people who are near us. We can also critise the match and socialise, too.

    Despite similarities, there are also some differences between following the match on TV and in stadium. The primary difference is view because the area where we watch the match is important. Distance of our seats to pitch can increase or decrease the ambience of the macth. If we watch the match at home, distance is not a problem for us because there is nobody between us and television. However in a stadium, distance can be problem. It is known that front seats or loges are expensive and everybody can not afford them and other seats decreases the joy of match. Furthermore, cost can be another difference ,too. Watching match on TV is not so expensive and at home you do not pay money for snacks but in stadiums you have to buy tickets, also in half-time, you can be starving so you have to pay money to get some snacks and totally, it cost a lot

    All in all, there are not only similarities but also differences between watching the match on TV and in stadium. I am of the opinion that, both watching a match on TV and seeing a match in stadium are preferable as they offer different tastes
