Method 1: Clearing the Cache
My Very First method will cover Clearing Cache of Google play store, This works for majority of the users, try if this works for you too..
So to Clear Google play store Cache, Goto Settings > Manage Apps > Click on Google Play store > Clear Cache & Data.
This will clear Cache and data of Google play store, Now try to Update or Install your App and see if this have solved your Problem.
Method 2: Reinstalling App.
If method 1 doesn't works for you and if it doesn't solve your Problem of Error 492 then your next step should be Uninstalling the App and then Reinstalling that particular app that is giving you Problem. If you already have .apk file of that app than it will be very easy for you.
All you need to do is navigate to that .apk file with the help of file manager and click on it to install the app again. See if this method helps and fix the problem for you.
Method 3: Formatting SD Card
If you have the app in your SD Card which is showing you Google play store error 492, then its quite likely that you SD Card is Corrupted and you will need to format your SD Card, Remember this will only help if you have moved your apps to SD Card.
Just backup your important data from SD Card and Format it. Then Start fresh and download and install the app from play store.
So These were the 3 Methods that i wanted to discuss to get rid of Error 492 in Play store, Let us know which method Works for you to Get rid of it and Comment below if you need any help.
