I've just read the poem and liked it so much. I hope you like it too. 
Remembering Snow.
I did not sleep last night.
The falling snow was beautiful and white.
I dressed, sneaked down the stairs
And opened wide the door.
I had not seen such snow before.
Our grubby little street had gone.
The world was brand-new, and everywhere
There was a pureness in the air.
I felt such peace.
Watching every flake
I felt more and more awake.
I thought I had learned all there was to know
About the trillion million different kinds
Of swirling frosty flakes of snow.
That was not so.
I did not know how vividly it lit
The world with such a peaceful glow.
Upstairs my mother slept.
I could not drag myself away from that sight
To call her down and have her share
The mute miracle of the snow.
It seemed to fall for me alone.
How beautiful our grubby little street had grown!

Almost.First you can search for lyrics of songs that you generally listen to.If you want to learn words by having fun,you can play that word games..For example,I know a website for you,it's typed 'Isketch'.You can visit this and play.People who play together draws something at the board and you guess it by typing.When u got the missing word,you get point and will be on point list.I hope u got it,,have fun then +.+

Alternatively,you can read some simple books that suits your level of English,you can find them on the net or you can buy them on second hand book stores.I think the second option would be better as having the book itself motivates you rather than reading it online,and by reading the book you can take notes on it and you can come back later on those points to reinforce the vocabulary knowledge you have acquired.
You can make a list of the words you have learned and keep them organized by having them all on a single notebook.You can categorize the book a-z and have easy access to the vocabulary you may need.

This topic is good to improve your english skill but i see not so many ppl are writing here. that's a shame really! Look at that almost 2 week passed but nobody writes anything. Dont kill this tpic, we really need this topic.
