Philips DVP 5980/12 dvd player'ım var. çok iyi bir dvd player ama 4 sorunu var.
OSD'de dosya adlarının sadece 8 karakteri görüntüleniyor.
DivX veya XviD video dosyaları bulunan CD veya DVD'de birden çok altyazı dosyası bulunduğu zaman hiç birisini seçemiyor.
DivX veya XviD video dosyaları bulunan CD veya DVD'de altyazı dosyasının adı video dosyasının adı ile aynı olmayınca problem çıkarıyor.
filmleri izlerken altyazıların arkasında okumayı zorlaştıran gri bir bant bulunuyor.
bu problemler firmware güncellemeleri ile düzeltilebiliyor. ama Philips'in yayınladığı orijinal firmware'ler bu problemleri çözmüyor. turkeyforum.com'da naviga70 adlı birisi iki tane firmware yayınladı ama onlarında birisi hdmi çıkışını kapatıyor ötekisi de problemleri tam olarak çözemiyor.
bu bağlamda elinde Philips DVP 5980/12 için yukarıdaki problemleri çözen firmware'i olan var mı? veya firmware yapmayı bilen birisi var mı?

peki bişey sormak istiyorum. bu kadar sorun yaşadığın halde neden ilk mesaj satırında çok iyi player diyorsun ?
player çok iyi olmasına çok iyi. ama dediğim gibi bi kaç ufak ayar verilebilir ve player çok daha iyi olur. benim şimdi bahsettiklerim firmware update ile daha iyi olabiliecek fonksiyonlar.

Bir hafta kadar önce Philips DVP 5980/12 aldım. Öncelikle 5980'in 3 farklı sürümü mevcut. CD kutusu açıkken kumandadan "55" tuşlarsanız ekranda belirecektir.

Bendeki model 5980S olduğu için bununla ilgili gelişmeleri aktarıyorum. Diğerleri için de bahsedeceğim forumda
mevcut.
Ben başlangıçta orijinal firmware ile güncelledim.
General Info: The modifications were made on version 12.07.31.33 obtained from the official Philips support Site.
Modifications:
1.a) 46 characters long filenames, in the Disk browser. b ) 23 characters long filenames on the USB browser (5980S and 5980 HDMI_OFF-LONG_USB only) c) GOTO function by pressing TITLE two times (all firmware versions) d) Extension trimming. e) The arrows on the browser were replaced by a scrollbar. f) Disabled image preview g) Max 40 characters on the folder name bar h) Repeat keys replaced with Volume control keys.
2.a) New Skin
3.a) 3 new fonts on the 5980 firmware. All are white and outlined. First font: CP1250 Second font: CP1251 Third font: CP1252
b ) 4 new fonts on the 5980 firmware. All are white and outlined. First font: CP1250 Second font: CP1251 Third font: CP1252 Fourth font: CP1253 c) Centered Subs d) Autoload of subtitles e) New OSD fonts
General Info and possible FAQ for these firware mods.
1.) You can't change the font during playback (external subs).You must stop the playback, change it and start
playing the movie again. 2.) Wordwrap is not enabled. Use a program like SubMagic to split lines longer than 38 characters. 3.) Update instructions inside dvp5980_12_fur_eng.pdf

1.) Implemented GOTO function. (press TITLE button twice) 2.) Modified repeat keys as volume control keys (OSD doesn't appear when you change the volume.Also this function is
not press and hold. You have to tap the buttons) 3.) Added two firmware version for the old 5980/12 (see below for details)
Information about the players:
There are two types of 5980 players. The first and older 5980, uses the MT1389 chip. The newer player 5980S uses the
MT1389S chip. Yoy can check your player by opening the tray and pressing 55 on the remote control. The new player seems to use new routines regarding the file browser. That is why, both HDMI and long filenames on
USB browser is possible. If you have the plain 5980/12 you have two firmwares to choose from. The HDMI_ON-SHORT_USB and the HDMI_OFF-LONG_USB
version. The HDMI_ON-SHORT_USB has the HDMI feature enabled but 8 character long filenames in USB. The HDMI_OFF-LONG_USB has 23 characters long filanames in USB but HDMI is not functional. Concurrent use of long filenames in USB browser and HDMI on plain 5980/12 is not possible.
Any help on applying a wordwrap function is much appreciated.

Write file to CD-R/RW
File System CD-ROM Joliet File name length: max 31 chars (ISO Level 2) Mode: 2/XA Character set ISO 9660 Single session Write speed: low Finalize the disc.
Steps to Upgrade Software
Power on the set and put in the disc. A message will be displayed on the OSD after the upgrade file is recognized. Follow the instruction displayed on the TV Screen – Press “OK” to upgrade (if applicable) After reading the file, the disc will be ejected Remove the disc, but DO NOT close the tray Wait approximately 3-5 minutes for the software to be upgraded The set will restart itself once the upgrade is completed.
Caution: Do not unplug or power off the set while upgrading in progress.
Just retire the disc when it's ejected, don't close the tray and go for a walk, in a few minutes it will be done...

HDMI bağlantı yapabileceğim bir LCD yok maalesef ama softpediada önceki versiyonların HDMI çıkışının sorunsuz olduğu söyleniyordu. Ben sadece türkçe karakterler konusunda değişiklik yaptım. Yani çalışıyor olmalı.
Şimdiye kadar benim elimdeki altyazıların hepsini sorunsuz açtı. Aynı şekilde bir önceki versiyonun tüm uzantıları desteklediği söylenmişti.
Yani sorunun cevabı için ben tam bir test yapmış değilim. Ama yapanlara göre EVET...
HDMI açık ve tüm altyazıları gösteriyor...

cd kutusu açıkken '55' yaptım bende 5980 modeli çıktı bir sorunum var acaba yazılımla düzelebilecek bir sorunmudur? usb bellektan film izlerken film donuyor 1sn kadar sürüyo ve devam ediyo ama hiç tad vermiyor çok can sıkıcı bi durum :(
yaılımla düzelebilecek bişeymidir yardımcı olursanız çok sevinirim birde mp4 film oynatmıyor dvd player mp4 oynatması gerekmiyormu bu modelin?
